Higher Ed’s Digital Future: Research Universities
Universities face a future where digital opportunities abound, both in their educational and research missions. But taking advantage of those opportunities is a challenge.

To better serve students, these institutions often are collecting data and building online or hybrid courses. To better serve researchers, these institutions often are advancing remote lab capabilities and bolstering supercomputing power on campus and in the cloud.

All of these put a strain on an aging IT infrastructure, data governance, and information security. But perhaps most challenging, they require universities to change how people do their jobs – whether its technologists, academic and student-affairs staff members, or professors.

Join The Chronicle’s Ian Wilhelm for a Virtual Forum discussion on Tuesday, December 6 at 2 pm ET as he talks with technology experts about the road ahead for universities and how best to navigate it.
